Field Service Coordinator - Mid Level Management
Position Overview
For over 17 years, Alaska Pet and
Yard Services, LLC (APYS) has been providing dog waste cleanup services to
over 12,000 customers from South Anchorage to the Mat-Su Valley.
The Field Services Coordinator position is a mid-management position that
works closely with management and the field service team.
The Field Service Coordinator organizes the activities of field service
employees. As a Field Service Coordinator, your job duties include
dispatching and routing personnel to customer job sites, communicating
with customers and field team members, and providing guidance to the field
service employees where needed. Our office is located in Eagle River.
Candidate must be comfortable working in an office in Eagle River.
Strong leadership skills is a must! This position
requires someone with the natural ability to be a voracious problem
solver, assertive, juggle multiple tasks while having excellent
communication skills to work with many different personalities. In
addition to the primary responsibility of working with service employees,
the Field Services Coordinator assists with daily office and customer
functions.
NOTE:
The position requires that the hired professional is available once
per week/every week at 7:AM to co-lead weekly service team meetings.
Alaska Pet and Yard Services believes in a
work/life balance. However, for
approximately 2-3 months in the spring (typically March through May), this
position requires working hours that meet the needs of our customers and
field staff. During those months, working extended hours such as evenings
and weekends are required as needed. The professional that fills this
position must be able do what is required to “get the job done” with the
best interest of the company in mind.
Primary Responsibilities

Manage field service
scheduling and routing.

Upload routes to field
staff tablets for the following days workload.

Conducting follow-up calls
with team members and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Respond to customer
complaints ensuring proper handling to achieve excellent customer
satisfaction.

Communicate clearly with
service employees, team leads and management to resolve customer
concerns.

Assist management with
helping to maintain proper inventory of materials, equipment, and
other supplies in order to provide services to our customer base.

Work with Field Team Leads and Management to co-lead service team
meetings with bullet point topics that involve overall updates, issues
and field team reminders from the following week.

Maintain day-to-day
working knowledge of all work in the field. Sharing this knowledge
with management and team members when required.

Support sales, marketing
and management initiatives.

Identify opportunities for
enhancements in operations.

Process new service
orders.

Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements

High School Diploma -
required.

Bachelor’s degree relevant
to position - preferred.

Be able to write
professionally and clearly (i.e. draft emails, customer letters,
notices, etc professionally and clearly).

Minimum 2-5 years relevant
experience required.
-
One year mid-level
supervisory experience required.

Experience working for a
large pet waste cleanup company, a lawn maintenance company or a
landscaping company is a PLUS!

Resume track record that
shows commitment to their career path and their employer history. We
are looking for a candidate that will be a long-term employee. It will
take a minimum of 1 year to learn the basics of the job and a minimum
of two years to know the job well.

Knowledge of typical
business computer applications.

Knowledge of Apple iPad’s
and iPhones.

No criminal background -
We are a contractor on the military bases, and they require a clean
criminal background.

Current driver’s license.
-
Have a reliable vehicle to
use on the job to meet with service employees if needed (company
provides mileage reimbursement).

Clean driving record – Our
insurance carrier has strict guidelines that requires a clean driving
record.

No drug use policy – Must
be able to pass a drug test.

Responsible credit history
- Field Service Coordinator will be part of purchase making decisions
for supplies and budgets. Will be provided with a company credit card.
Will need to provide personal credit report to show responsible
financial decision-making skills.
